According to a new study, drinking chocolate and drinking coffee or tea can prolong life. For a better effect, it is recommended to combine it with zinc. Together, they form a powerful antioxidant that slows down the aging process. According to American researchers, this combination can prolong life by protecting against oxidative stress, a form of gas that contributes to aging and diseases such as inflammation, cancer and degenerative diseases.
Zinc and chocolate: better together
Researchers conducted a laboratory experiment where they combined polyphenols in chocolate with zinc to study this effect. Polyphenols in chocolate, coffee and tea have long been considered healthy, but on their own they have no major effect. They are primarily associated with zinc because they form a powerful enzyme that can protect the body from oxidative stress.
Reminders of the body’s own super enzyme
The enzyme is reminiscent of the enzyme called SOD (superoxide dismutase enzyme) which also has a powerful effect on gases. This is the first time that scientists have been able to mimic the effect of this body enzyme.
Zinc is the best mineral
